First day using my Blackberry for personal and professional

February 15th, 2007 | by audit |

Thanks to RIM and their BES Express software, & e-bay, I’m back to the Blackberry world again. It took a little bit of time getting the BES server working correctly with our setup at work and then of course searching around for a USB cable so I could upgrade the OS on the Blackberry for EDVO support. But around 4am this morning, I finally got everything working and since I couldn’t sleep, everything worked for the best. Since I’m also using the @vzw.blackberry.net push e-mail for my personal e-mail and as well as the BES e-mail for work, it was taking some time to get used to where my e-mails were going since i had 2 e-mail icon’s on my BB but I hid the icon’s that I never use or need and am just using the plain old messages icon and changed the Default e-mail in it to my personal address since this is my own personal device afterall. I have about all the software loaded except for a MSN client and since they aren’t that cheap, it’s going to take at least until the end of the weekend to figure out what one I want to use.

All said and done, I’m happy with the BB and I remembered why today when I slipped on some ice and the BB fell from my waist to the hard ice covered cement ground and worked just fine after. There’s NO POSSIBLE way that could’ve happened with a Treo without a very expensive case. My boss is very happy that I’m back in the loop now 24/7 for e-mail and since the primary usage is for work, I’ll have one nice tax write off this year.
Time to order my wife one when she gets her new job. I’ll get her using e-mail and IM if it kills me.

Has anybody seen any software that will unlock a Motorola mobile phone without cables?
Heard a rumour of some software called ‘Mototools 6′ that will unlock without cables.
Anybody used this software, does it exist?
Sorry if posting in wrong section, new to this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Call your provider or take a look at motorola’s website and see what they have to say.

I remember back a few years ago when nobody could pry that thing from you and then it broke and you we’re back to a Treo 650. I always knew that you would be back to the BB. Your a very smart guy and you’ve more then proven your dedication for your job. I just pray that your current company realizes what they have in front of them because everyone knows you got screwed before.
