Another day, no speach
March 8th, 2007 | by audit |Well it’s March 8th, 2007 and my speech is that of someone that has a major stuttering problem. I’m getting feeling back in my left side but driving at night or in the morning is a bitch. The brightness of the headlights make my headaches come back and then it feels like a drill boring a hole in my head. On top of that, my wife’s illness is really taking a toll on her and in turn myself. I’ve come to the determination that Michigan’s disability SUCKS!!!!
I’ve tried to call every department I can, e-mailed people, etc when I’m able to speak to find out how to get my wife on disability for bi-polar and I haven’t received a single response, letter, or anything. Just getting put on hold and then disconnected. This just pisses me off even more since we count on an income for her but she’s not able to find a job as a LPN. Whomever said that nurses are in high demand can kiss my ass because I look at all the papers and job boards daily and she does also but yet she doesn’t get a single call.
Between that and the fact that our daughter has/had kidney problems in the past that we’re praying have gone away, it’s no wonder that I’m ready to crack. Last night I printed up some flyers to put up at some of the local stores around here to offer to do work for people to make sure they are patched for the DST change on their systems, virus scanning and removal, Small Business setups, Wireless setups, etc just to try to come up with another income.
Well Now I’m just going to wait and see how things go, maybe give up my internet at home and use my Blackberry for internet access but then I need to figure out how to get the kids internet to their computers for their homework each night and day. Right now I’m working 10-12hr’s a day at the office and then another 5-6 at home between spending time helping my kids with their homework and trying to fit in quality time with them. After this DST issue passes this weekend then I’ll be starting another major project at work that is very important since it involves upgrading a server that’s mission critical to 2003 server and has a LOT of custom software running on it. I don’t even want to imagine the amount of stress that I’ll be under while that goes on since it’s a weekend project and the person that wrote the software isn’t exactly someone that get’s back to me right away when I have issues with the server.
Well these are my thoughts for the day or at least this morning since i spent most of it at my CEO’s house fixing a wireless print server and printing issue for him and now I’m finally back in my office with a task list that I don’t even want to look at right now but if I don’t then it will just grow larger.
