Welcome to AT&T

Those words were great to hear last night as I ported my family over to AT&T from Verizon. I couldn’t take the dropped calls anymore and the fact that I wasn’t able to get calls in my office and most recently at home. After sending a nice (HA!) letter to Verizon through planet feedback last week, I got a call within 5 minutes from the VP of customer relations. I explained as nicely as I can, (HAHA!) what my issues were and she looked at my locations and said she had no problem letting me out of my contract with no ETF fee’s because they weren’t holding up there end of the contract. That’s all I needed to hear as I was on the phone with AT&T within seconds of hanging up with her getting setup on AT&T.

So last night I picked up 2 new sync’s for the kids and a razor for my wife. I was planning on getting the 8300 Curve but they were out and offered to give me the 8800 for free and tossed in a 2GB MicroSD card on top. Now I’m just as happy with the 8800 as I would’ve been with the curve, actually I’m happier because the 8800 has built in GPS that is AWESOME!!!! I really would have never used the camera that much anyhow and the 8300 doesn’t have GPS. They didn’t have the 8820’s that have built in WiFi which is fine for me anyhow.

So this morning I spent about 2hr’s on the phone with customer service because the salesperson at the store didn’t put the correct data plan on so I wasn’t able to hook up to my BES server at work for everything. That’s VITAL to me but after he got the correct plan on, I was syncing with the BES server within minutes. The best thing is now I can get and make calls from my phone instead heading outside to get a signal. That’ll keep me at my desk more often where I can get more done, plus it’s a pain in the royal ass trying to get around without the use of my leg right now.

So that’s it for today, the next post will probably be post surgery where hopefully I’ll have some good news about my back.
